Village Picnic and Street Party - Sat 5th July, from 12pm.Everyone is welcome, just come along. No charge, no tickets. If you don’t know anyone, come along anyway, we’ll match you with someone friendly!
Bring your own picnic. We’ll have a bar with all the usual options and Pimm’s or you can bring your own. Thanks to the Village Hall committee we’ll have tea, coffee and an amazing selection of cakes. 12:00 - Start time and bar open / 12:30 - Picnic starts / 13:00 - Live music / 14:15 - Hula show / Circus skills and facepainting all afternoon / End 16:30. Church Road closed from 11:45 to 16:30. In an emergency though we’ll get you through. We’ve got Cherry Fizz, a professional circus performer and hula hoop artist, running workshops for the youngsters all day and doing a show at 14:15. St Margaret's Church Summer Fair - Sat 12th July, from 1pm.St Margaret’s Church Summer Fair is on Saturday July 12th from 1pm to 4pm. There will be stalls in the churchyard with tea and cakes in the Village Hall.
Stalls include Pimms, Strawberries, Savouries, Jams and Preserves, Coconut Shy and for the children - games and face painting. The Alderton Belles will be playing their handbells at 2.15pm. We would love to see everybody from our lovely village come and enjoy a traditional Summer Fair. Donations to the stalls would be very welcome and these can be dropped off at the following:

About AldertonAlderton in the 21st century is a thriving community both proud of its history and agricultural heritage and its present day diverse range of community activities.
Alderton has a Village Shop and Post Office, Oak Hill C of E infant and primary school, Village Hall, Alderton Acorns Toddlers and Pre-School Group, the Gardeners Arms pub, a garage with petrol station, a playing field with playground and changing rooms and allotments. It boasts several picturesque listed buildings and a 14th century style Parish Church dedicated to St Margaret of Antioch which contains relics of an earlier Saxon structure.
