About AldertonAlderton in the 21st century is a thriving community both proud of its history and agricultural heritage and its present day diverse range of community activities.
Alderton has a Village Shop and Post Office, Oak Hill C of E infant and primary school, Village Hall, Alderton Acorns Toddlers and Pre-School Group, the Gardeners Arms pub, a garage with petrol station, a playing field with playground and changing rooms and allotments. It boasts several picturesque listed buildings and a 14th century style Parish Church dedicated to St Margaret of Antioch which contains relics of an earlier Saxon structure. The Alderton Charity football match has raised over £25,000 in recent years for local and national charities.

Each year we hold the Alderton 5k Run to raise money for Alderton Acorns Pre-School for nursery aged children in the village.
