A 4:3 win for the Marrieds in Alderton’s annual Married v Singles charity football match which raised £1,740 for Vale Wildlife Hospital & Rehabilitation Centre and North Cotswold Foodbank. Alderton Acorns Pre-School and Toddler Group also raised £160 from tea, cake and BBQ.
Kate Starkey, one of four Starkeys playing, was Player of the Match and was clearly better than James, Archie and Finn. Lovely to see so many of the different generations playing on opposite teams.

Penalty controversy
In a pivotal moment for the match the Marrieds Greaves was through on goal before clearly being assaulted by Single defender Tryner. No penalty given! VAR!!
