The restaurant has quickly become a popular addition to the local community, with diners enjoying its traditional Nepalese dishes, relaxed atmosphere and friendly hospitality. The menu features a range of authentic curries, freshly prepared momos and a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, all inspired by classic Nepalese recipes. We’ve been delighted by the response from villagers and visitors alike, and are grateful for the encouragement shown during their first few months in Alderton. “We’ve been made to feel incredibly welcome,” said the restaurant manager. “It’s been wonderful to see so many people coming through the doors to try the food, spend time with friends and support us as a new local business.” Alongside its food offering, the restaurant also hopes to establish itself as a welcoming social spot where people can meet for a drink, whether that’s a refreshing lager, ale or something a little different. To mark Hedgehog Awareness Week, the regional housebuilder is hosting a series of interactive school readings of Helene Gardiner’s Hedgehog and the Fence at Oak Hill C of E Primary School in Alderton and Newnham St Peter’s C of E Primary School in Newnham-on-Severn. At both schools, pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will welcome Helene Gardiner, where she will read from her much-loved book, share insights into hedgehog behaviour and habitats, and lead an engaging discussion about how families and communities can help hedgehogs thrive.
