Alderton Village Newsletter - June 2024Note from Editor: Well, May was a washout…with some people, sadly, getting water in their houses. The amazing Alderton spirit kicked in and there were, as always, volunteers galore. The stream at the back of my house became clogged up, so I, and others will be ensuring it is clear as more rain is forecast over the summer. We have tragically lost two young men in the last few months, both of whom have grown up in the village. It has thrown a lot of sadness across the whole neighbourhood, but also shown how amazing our community is at supporting each other. There is now a bench on our hill dedicated to Ross Thomas, and there are plans afoot for there to be another one for Will. It is a fabulous spot, one where many of us survey the view and think how lucky we are to live here.
