As we approach the festive period I am very aware of the people we have lost this year in the village both young and old. I hope nearly everyone has sat on the benches at the foot of the dungeon that commemorate both Ross and William, and taken in the view of our amazing village. Malcolm and Geoffrey were true lifelong villagers who gave their all for our community. For their families, and those of John and other villagers who are not here this Christmas, our thoughts are with you.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Parishioners gathered in numbers at the Alderton War Memorial to pay their respects and remember all those who have served and sacrificed themselves to defend our freedoms and protect our way of life, including the laying of wreaths and observing two minutes silence. 
CYBER ATTACK
The cyber attack affecting Tewkesbury Borough Council website, including the Planning site, has now been resolved and the Council is working through the backlog including updates to planning applications.

BOROUGH COUNCIL NAME CHANGE
​Following consultation, from January 2025 Tewkesbury borough council will be known as North Gloucestershire Borough Council, with phased and progressive roll out of the re-branding (https://tewkesbury.gov.uk/new-name/)
