Alderton Charity Football 2017
2017 Charity Football match report
Another great year of Married v Single Men charity football, this year as NATO v the USSR. A narrow 7-0 defeat for the Married’s wasn’t a fair reflection of the game but even with 15 players on the pitch we still couldn’t grab that elusive goal. Congratulations to Caty Sterling-Lee who was both Man of the Match and the first-ever Non-Man to play. £1,200 was raised for Auditory Verbal UK www.avuk.org, Matt Greaves has lost his carefully coiffured locks and Rob Hayden didn't injure anyone. Bring on 2018!

I lay awake and wondered if she would ever hear me tell her I loved her? What would it be like never to hear music? Where would she go to school? Continue reading |

We can't guarantee much quality football but we can provide some festive entertainment with fancy dress football, kids and wives penalty shoot out, burgers, mulled wine and hot drinks. The match will kick-off at 11am with everyone welcome afterwards in the Gardeners Arms for ceremonies and refreshments. |
