This year we're also holding a photography competition on the theme of Alderton is a Way of Life. There's an entry fee of 50p per photograph with prizes for the winners of the adult and 16 and under classes. Entries should be submitted as prints to the Village Hall between 5-7pm on Friday 10th July or in advance to Ros Smith at 7 Church Road. All are welcome and there is no entry charge. Alderton residents, please bring your Gift Day envelopes with you. There will also be a box in the village shop and the church for donations. Please give generously to help us repair the bells in our village church and preserve it for the future. Alderton's annual Charity Christmas Fair is on Saturday 8th November at 10am. With cards and gifts from National Trust, RSPB, Lifeboats, LINC, Cobalt Appeal, GWR and many more this is the only place you'll need to go for your card shopping. And perhaps more importantly we've raised over £10,000 for many worthy causes in the last 7 years!
