Alderton Village Newsletter - May 2023Note from Editor:
Fingers crossed for the weather over our three Bank Holidays this month! We are really hoping as many of you as possible can join in the Street Party/Picnic on Sunday 7th. Alderton is a growing village and will only thrive if we all come together to support each other. Whether your family have been here for generations or this is your first time living in a village you are ALL valuable members of the community. Thanks to an incredibly generous village resident I have been donated a new printer. I shouldn’t have any more problems creating the paper copies for the shop and the church, but please get your entries for the newsletter before the deadline. Alderton businesses: please send me a logo and brief description of you and what you offer…this will be added FREE at the end of the digital edition. PARISH COUNCIL NEWS www.aldertonparishcouncil.org.uk KEITH PAGE – After 40 years of service, many of which have been as Chair, Keith Page is standing down from the Parish Council. He has devoted countless hours of voluntary service including practical work which otherwise would have incurred a considerable bill for the Parish. He was a leading figure in the building of the village hall, in the expansion of the allotments and the development of the Playing Field and Children’s Playground. We hope that Keith will maintain his links with the Council but in a less demanding capacity. |
